Bifocal Sports Glasses

For those who already wear glasses for distance, the problem also arises around the age of 45 that reading through the glasses becomes more difficult, especially for close-up. For those who are slightly myopic (up to approximately -3.00), the problem can be solved by taking off the glasses for close-up. When alternating between watching and reading at a distance (e.g. watching TV in combination with reading), the glasses must be put on and taken off each time. One of the options is then glasses with a reading section at the bottom in the shape of a 'half moon', the bifocal glasses. The strength of this reading section is then expressed as a reading allowance on the distance strength. Just as with reading glasses, the strength of this reading allowance determines the sharpness area that can be seen. With a reading allowance of +1.00, we can then see sharply through the reading section from 35 cm to 1 meter, and at the top from 50 cm to infinity. So enough overlap to be able to see all distances.

The Bifocal Eagle is a sports glasses with a reading section at the bottom of the glass.
